Pregnant ITV This Morning star leaves hosts gobsmacked as she pees on side of road

This Morning's Sian Welby had a rather unexpected roadside incident when she was caught short during a massive three-and-a-half-hour traffic jam over the Bank Holiday. The heavily pregnant presenter, at 37 weeks, had no choice but to make a dash for the bushes when nature called.

Unfortunately for Sian, her impromptu toilet break became a sting operation as she accidentally chose a nettle-infested bush. The comical mishap was captured on camera and shared with viewers on Monday's This Morning show (May 27).

Reliving the moment, Sian explained: "I had to do a wee in the middle of the road. I had to run into the bush and I didn't dare go in there as it was full of brambles and nettles.

"So then I was stuck and I ran to the side of the car. I'm 37 weeks pregnant."

The studio couldn't contain their laughter as hosts Dermot O'Leary and Josie Gibson reacted to the footage.

Even Gyles Brandreth was taken aback, asking Sian: "Is this you coming back from your wee?"

As Sian confirmed, Giles quipped: "Now I've seen it all. Morning television isn't what it used to be, is it?" reports the Mirror.

Dermot added his own humorous take: "The mystique is definitely gone. But who doesn't love a pee-pee rustique from time to time."

To which Sian replied: "Do you know what, it was exhilarating."

Sian revealed her baby news live on Capital Breakfast with co-hosts Roman Kemp and Chris Stark back in February.

She exclaimed: "I've got a bit of an announcement for you! I'm pregnant! I don't know how I've managed to keep it from you for so long. [...] The lies, the deceit, the mocktails!"

Sian went on to say: "I couldn't wait to tell you...This is a whole new journey for me and I want to take you all on it with me, and don't worry I'm not going anywhere! This is going to be a lot of fun and I can't wait to share it with you all."
