GMB: Farage fumes as Charlotte presses him on Muslim comments

Reform UK's Nigel Farage made an appearance on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain and was determined to be heard.

He cut off host Charlotte Hawkins as she grilled him, adding: "I'm sorry. I'm not having this. I'm not having this," he protested animatedly cutting her off when she asked him about remarks about Muslims living in the UK.

"I am not saying Muslims living in the UK don't share British values," he protested talking over her. Ironically, despite cutting Charlotte off, he then went on to say women shouldn't be excluded from public life saying it is "not very British".

Citing an example with Angela Rayner he said: "Yesterday [she was] virtually begging her local Muslim community to vote for her and not a single woman in the room. Look at the celebrations that we saw after the local election successes for greens independents, etc. in the local elections. You'll find it very difficult to find a single woman there."

Viewers were not impressed by the interview describing it as a "car crash".Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, they made their feelings known.

@L_A_D_J commented: "Being allowed to use the word "invasion" about asylum seekers, on live tv with millions of viewers, is grotesque #gmb."

@unclemonty1984 pointed out: "Nigel is NOT standing in the G.E so why are we wasting our time listening to this yawning hippo? #GMB."

Nigel was appearing by video link from Dover and explained why he wasn't running the General Election telling Richard Madeley and Charlotte six weeks simply isn't enough time to plan a campaign.
