Eric has almost arrived on Netflix but who stars in the gripping thriller?
The six-part series is going to be dropping in full on Thursday, May 30, and will tell the tale of what happens after a nine-year-old boy goes missing.

Who stars in Eric on Netflix?
Vincent Anderson - Benedict Cumberbatch
Puppeteer Vincent Anderson is behind the popular children’s series Good Day Sunshine and while he is charismatic and intelligent, he is neglectful of his wife and son Edgar.
So when his son goes missing, he clings to Edgar’s drawings of a blue monster puppet which he thinks is the key to bringing him home.
Vincent is portrayed by actor Benedict Cumberbatch who is undoubtedly best known for portraying Sherlock Holmes in the BBC adaptation of Sherlock with Martin Freeman.
Some of his other work includes Doctor Strange, The Imitation Game, The Power of Dog, The Grinch and The Courier.

More recently, Hoffman has been in the series Transparent and the 2024 film Little Death.
Detective Michael Ledroit - McKinley Belcher III

However, when his love life becomes an “obstacle at work” he must choose whether to protect his secret identity or solve a case.

The star behind George Lovett, actor Clarke Peters, was behind Albert Lambreaux in Treme and Lester Freamon in The Wire.
Why did Harry and Meghan make a Netflix series about their life?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have found themselves at the centre of public attention since they took a step back from senior royal duties in 2020.
In a trailer for the Netflix series about them, Prince Harry told viewers that “no one sees what’s happening behind closed doors” in a reference to how their lives may differ from what the public think about the couple. Meghan adds: “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”.
Reports suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could receive up to $100 million for making the show, although this has been disputed and the true figure is unknown.
Matteo Cripp - David Denman
Captain Matteo Cripp is Ledroit’s boss who he has a good relationship with, acting more like his mentor.
However, even though Ledroit thinks there is a connection between Edgar’s disappearance and a 14-year-old’s nearly a year ago, Cripps is quick to discourage him from delving further.
Other cast members include:
Cecile Rochelle - Adepero Oduye
Edgar Anderson - Ivan Howe
Anne Anderson - Phoebe Nicholls
Yuusuf Egbe - Bamar Kane
Raya - Alex Molnar
Eric premieres on Thursday, May 30, on Netflix.
