Soon-to-be Strictly Come Dancing star Nigel Harman has shared a confession about his time on EastEnders as he admitted he struggled to recall Dennis Rickman's storylines.
Nigel, 50, left the BBC soap when Dennis was murdered in 2005, but his character remains an all-time favourite.
In a recent This Morning interview, the Casualty star explained fans often remember his soap character more than he does.
"I mean the fans are very dedicated to Casualty, but they're also very dedicated to EastEnders," Holly Willoughby stated.
She added: "Was it 20 years ago, that role?" which Nigel confirmed.
"Where has that time gone?" She gasped.
"I have no idea," Nigel replied. "20 years ago when I started, or 21 maybe, something like that."
"So, memories of that time for you are few and far between, but the fans remember everything about that?" Holly probed.
Nigel confessed: "People come up to me in the streets and want to discuss a storyline that I don't even remember being present at."

"That's nice, isn't it?" Holly remarked, to which Nigel agreed: "It's just brilliant because they're really invested in that."
Reflecting on today's storylines, he continued: "I think I have a son and maybe a grandson as well...
"So I think because of that I'm still fresh in their minds.
"So they come up and chat to me like it was yesterday - they're reminding me and I'm going, 'Oh yes I remember.'"
Nigel will be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing, which is set to air next month.
"I'm amazed, excited, and terrified to be doing Strictly," he shared after the announcement.
He continued: "As an armchair fan of the show I have watched in awe as people have twirled and gyrated across the screen. And now it's my turn.....gulp!"
The news was announced on ITV's Lorraine last week, where Nigel admitted he had "misplaced confidence" about starting his Strictly journey.
Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to BBC One on September 16.
