The One Show: Angela Rippon second Strictly star to be announced for 2023 series
BBC weather presenter Owain Wyn Evans is reportedly the latest celebrity to sign up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The 39-year-old would have to fit training around his new role hosting Radio 2's Early Breakfast Show.
The announcement comes hours after Angela Rippon, Layton Williams and Amanda Abbington were revealed as the first three stars taking part in this year's series.
“Owain can’t wait to get started on Strictly," a source told The Sun.
“He’s a huge fan of the show and has a genuine interest in dancing, despite being a novice.
“Owain appreciates he’ll have it tougher than most, given he’ll continue his daily radio hosting duties, but he’s up for the challenge.”
The former BBC Breakfast star appeared in Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof last year when he formed a bond with Strictly professional dancer Dianne Buswell who was another contestant.
The BBC has been contacted for comment by Express.co.uk.
