The US has admitted to Saturday’s attack but maintains it was an accident.
Assad also blamed the US for the collapse of the ceasefire called in Syria’s civil war, in which he is being supported by Russia.
He denied claims that Syrian or Russian planes had targeted an aid convoy to block food from reaching the battle-scarred city of Aleppo.
Whatever they say, it’s just lies
He said: “If there’s really a siege around the city of Aleppo, people would have been dead by now. Whatever they say, it’s just lies.”
Assad says US raids which killed its soldiers continued for an hour.
But the US says the bombing was “halted immediately” when Russia warned it could be hitting Syrian government troops.
