There are many amazing destinations throughout Europe, but which are the best? And are there any that qualify as the worst?

22-year-old TikTok star Luca Pferdmenges is a professional juggler, social media star and world traveller, and he knows a thing or two about holidaying in Europe. He’s visited all 44 countries within the continent.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Luca said: “It's very hard for me to pick five favourites to visit, but I would go with Portugal, Cyprus, Spain, Austria, and Croatia.

“They're famous tourist destinations, but I think they are famous for good reasons.”

He cited food as one of the main things that attracts him, saying: “All the Mediterranean countries have the best weather, in my opinion, and I love Mediterranean cuisine overall, lots of olive oil, sundried tomatoes, and fresh vegetables.”

Luca is a huge fan of Europe and enjoys a city break as long as it's warm. But what are his least favourite European destinations?

“My least-favourite list includes underwhelming San Marino. The microstate [within north-central Italy] is very hard to reach and there is nothing to do. You can see everything within hours.

“Belgium is too grey and cold in winter though my Mum, Saskia Pferdmenges, highly disagrees and loves it!

“Belarus - I had a great time in Minsk, but it is very hard to reach and the only truly isolated country on the Continent.”

He adds: “Liechtenstein is very isolated and expensive, though it's great if you can afford it, and the Nordics are some of the most stunning countries in the world, but just so expensive.”

“If you are on a budget, avoid not only Finland but Iceland, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Switzerland and Ireland are just as expensive as well.”

The 22-year-old German has 229k followers on his Instagram and a whopping 2.9 million followers on TikTok.

Europe remains a popular tourist destination for fellow Europeans and the rest of the world.

According to the Office of National Statistics, Europe was the most popular overseas destination to visit last year, accounting for 77% (66.7 million) of the total visits abroad.
