Navy SEALs and Naval Special Warfare Command faced a barrage from conservatives this weekend for celebrating the start of Pride Month.

The right-wing Libs of TikTok, known for posting anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment, account reshared the Navy's post on X.

The post featured a photo adorned with rainbow motifs and the words: "NSW. Dignity. Service. Respect. Equality. Pride."

The Libs of TikTok account didn't hold back, posting on X: "The Navy SEALs have gone woke. Our elite special forces. This is terrifying."

Some people angrily took to the comment section to voice their outrage, with one claiming: "This is a slap in the face of every special warfare operator that has put their lives on the line for our nation."

Another said: "Man this woke s--- is like a cancer and needs to be handled and dealt with as a threat to national security. Gone way too far."

However, not all feedback was negative and many users applauded the gesture, which marked the start of Pride Month.

One person wrote: Fantastic!! Thanks for recognising our strength is in our differences!". Another said: "This is great. Go Seals."

A third commented: "Thanks for being inclusive and respectful even when the commenters are not."

"How does diversity send the wrong message when so many special operators have different nationalities and sexual preferences?" another asked.

Interestingly, other military branches such as the US Army, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force did not acknowledge Pride Month on the same day.

However, the US Marine Corps previously acknowledged Pride Month.

In a 2022 post, they wrote: "During the month of June, the Marine Corps takes #Pride in recognising and honouring the contributions of our LGBTQ service members.

"We remain committed to fostering an environment free from discrimination, and defend the values of treating all equally, with dignity and respect."
