Donald Trump has been spotted in pubilc for the first time since Stormy Daniels broke her silence about his hush money trial verdict.

The 77-year-old was all smiles pictured backstage with fighter Alex Pereira at UFC 302 in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday night.

It came just hours after Stormy - reacting to the guilty verdict delivered on Thursday - described him as "completely and utterly out of touch with reality."

A jury found Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in the case stemming from a hush money payment to the adult film star during his 2016 presidential campaign.

The UFC 302 mixed-martial arts pay-per-view at the Prudential Center featured 12 matches and was headlined by a fight between UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev and fourth-ranked Dustin Poirier.

The Republican presidential hopeful is looking to bounce back from becoming the first serving or former president in US history to become a convicted felon.

Stormy, speaking to The Mirror, said she believes Trump should be jailed at sentencing on July 11.

However, she doesn't think he has the capacity to understand whatever sentence is handed down by Judge Juan Merchan.

"I don’t know what the sentencing could be or what Trump will even understand," the 45-year-old said.

“It’s like when you have a child, and sometimes you take the electronics away from them.

“You gotta ground them or like take away electronics or don’t let them have dessert.

“You have to find the punishment that not just matches the crime, but is fair and just, and that impacts that particular person.

“Who knows what that is with Trump.”

On Friday during a press conference at Trump Tower, the former president repeatedly made unfounded accusations that his trial was "rigged."

Trump's presidential campaign said it raised $34.8 million following the decision.
