Jobless teen is the first ‘killer clown’ to be fined in the UK
A TEENAGE prankster yesterday became the first person in the UK to receive a criminal record for scaring people while dressed as a clown.

Welsh youth Connor Jones, 18, was issued with a £90 fixed penalty fine at his home by police after loitering outside St Cenydd Comprehensive in Caerphilly in a clown outfit.
But the jobless teenager later mocked his punishment on social media, writing: “Just had a £90 fine for my clown antics haha.”
He added: “I’m not afraid to make enemies. I’ve paid my £90 and that’s it.”

The US -inspired craze, which has been sweeping the nation, sees pranksters dressing up as “killer” clowns – often armed with knives or even chainsaws – and leaping out and terrifying passers-by.
Police have reported incidents involving the fad in London, the Midlands and Wales, with parents complaining that youngsters have been traumatised.
Vigilante groups are said to have been formed to attack those dressing up.

This comes after a University student chased freshers around campus in a clown costume, wielding a chainsaw.
One report stated that a woman was so scared after a clown encounter she went into labour.
