Man dead and two injured including child after horror crash on A2 near Canterbury
A MAN has died and a two people including a child have been injured following a crash on the A2 this afternoon.
Emergency crews raced to the scene of the crash at around 2:30pm
Emergency crews raced to the coast-bound side of the dual carriageway near the Canterbury slip-road shortly after 2.30pm.
The two people injured in the crash, a young child and a woman, have been taken to separate London hospitals for treatment.
The man killed, who has not been named, was declared dead at the scene.
The shocking incident is believe to have involved a pick-up truck towing a caravan.
The coast-bound carriageway is expected to remain closed for several hours, but the London-bound side re-opened at around 4pm.
Kent Police has urged motorists to remain patient and avoid making non-essential journeys where possible.

A spokesman for the force said: "Police officers, South East Coast Ambulance Service and the air ambulance have been called.
"The coast bound carriageway between Brenley Corner and Harbledown is closed. The opposite carriageway is now open."
