Jet2 announces major change for flights - starts in 2026
The budget airline has revealed a change starting October 2026
The new service, which was announced by Jet2’s charter team last month, will not be available on the airline’s scheduled holiday flights used by the general public. Instead, it is aimed at specialist charter passengers including sports teams, entertainment groups and music clients.
Available for travel between October 2026 and May 2027, the reconfigured Boeing 737 will feature just 76 business-class seats with a minimum of 43 inches of legroom throughout the cabin. Typically, Boeing 737 aircraft operated by low-cost airlines are configured with around 189 seats, meaning passengers onboard the luxury charter jet will enjoy more than double the usual space.

Alongside the extra room and upgraded comfort, Jet2 said customers will also benefit from bespoke catering tailored to their needs.
Trevor Caplis, head of charter and airline sales at Jet2, said: “This is an incredibly exciting development, both for Jet2 and for our charter customers.
“The bespoke configuration of one of our Boeing 737-800NG aircraft so that it features a dedicated business class specification is a genuine game changer and we expect it to be popular with our sports, music, entertainment and specialist group customers.
“As a result of this brand-new product, our charter customers can now enjoy all the usual operational and cost-effective benefits of Jet2, but with the added benefit of a premium charter product, too.”
