Aldi slashes prices in run-up to Christmas - but you have to be quick
The supermarket has brought back its popular 'Christmas Super Six' deal, offering shoppers six essential vegetables for just 5p each.

Aldi has significantly reduced prices on a range of vegetables as its popular 'Christmas Super Six' promotion returns once more. Bargain hunters can now grab bundles of carrots, parsnips, white potatoes, and other seasonal staples at a remarkable discount.
Although the supermarket's deal initially reduced the price of these items to 8p, it was later lowered to 5p to help customers save even more on their shopping. The 5p discount is available in stores from today, December 19, and will continue through to Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24.
Nevertheless, Aldi has warned that the deal depends on stock levels, meaning shoppers must move quickly to secure a bargain. Through the Christmas Super Six campaign, Aldi is offering:
- Red and White Cabbages - 5p each
- Brussels Sprouts - 500g for 5p
- Swede - 5p each
- White Potatoes - 2kg for 5p
- Carrots - 1kg for 5p
- Parsnips - 500g for 5p
Further insights from Aldi's website add: "Aldi, which has been named Christmas Retailer of the Year for the sixth year in a row, is making it easy for families to enjoy a delicious and affordable Christmas dinner with these fantastic price cuts."
The supermarket also states: "What’s more, Aldi partners with British growers and uses fixed-cost pricing to ensure they receive a fair price, no matter the season. This commitment allows Aldi to offer shoppers the best savings without compromising on quality or fairness."

Alongside its latest offering, numerous other festive items have arrived in stores as part of Aldi's Christmas range. Fresh additions for 2025 feature its Specially Selected The Ultimate Slow Cooked Wagyu Shin priced at £29.99 per kilo and Specially Selected Chicken Waffles with Waffle Sprinkles & Maple barbecue Sauce at £3.69 per eight-pack, amongst other delights.
Revealing the range in October, Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: "We’re delighted to be named Christmas Retailer of the Year again and to share some of the highlights from what promises to be another amazing festive range.
"Shoppers can expect our usual great value and high-quality products this Christmas, with new launches to elevate festive gatherings. And this is just a taste of what’s to come, so shoppers should keep an eye out for more!" For more information, visit Aldi's website.
