Ms Shulman, who has been awarded a CBE medal by Prince William at Buckingham Palace yesterday, said the Queen remained the royals’ “most stylish person”.
But she added: "Meghan’s got a great style, is very confident in her style and she will bring a bit of American sassiness to the look of the royal family.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what she wears to the wedding.”
Following the Queen's appearance beside the catwalk at London Fashion Week last month, Ms Shulman paid tribute to Her Majesty’s outfits over the decades.
