The stunning royal’s mother Grace Kelly was a famous American actress who became the Princess of Monaco after marrying Prince Rainier III in 1956.
Born just a year later in 1957, Caroline was the eldest of their three children. She was once the heir to the throne of Monaco.

But her brother Albert II is now the reigning monarch of Monaco and his children are next in the line of succession.

Caroline grew into a beautiful young woman and went to study philosophy at the Sorbonne in Paris.
She fell in love with Parisian banker Philippe Junot and married him during a lavish wedding ceremony in Monaco 1978.

After their marriage fell apart and ended in divorce in 1980, she remarried Italian socialite and businessman Stefano Casiraghi in 1983.
The couple had three children - Andrea, Pierre and Charlotte - before Casiraghi’s tragic death in a speedboat accident in 1990.
Casiraghi, 30, was killed off the coast of Monaco near Cap Ferrat while defending his world offshore title. He had planned to retire after the race.

Caroline became the Princess of Hanover when she married her third husband Prince Ernst August of Hanover in 1999.
Ernst August is the head of the deposed royal House of Hanover which held the throne of the former Kingdom of Hanover until 1866.
The couple have a 17-year-old daughter - Princess Alexandra.
