Meghan Markle's 'desperate' Hollywood comeback plan revealed: 'She's freaking out!'

Speculation has been building around whether Meghan Markle could be preparing for a return to acting in a potential Suits reunion film, years after stepping away from Hollywood to focus on royal life and other ventures. This week, rumours have been flying that the Duchess of Sussex could be set to return to screens.

No project has been confirmed, though Suits creator Aaron Korsh previously acknowledged the idea of a reunion film, suggesting it could be an entertaining possibility in the future. Speaking in earlier interviews, he noted that while the original series had a satisfying conclusion, revisiting the story on the big screen was “not an insane notion” down the line.

Industry insiders claimed bosses behind the show are keen to "cash in" on the series’ huge revival on streaming platforms such as Netflix. It was also suggested that a spin-off film could reunite former cast members, with Meghan potentially returning to screens for the first time since stepping away from acting to join the Royal Family, the Express previously reported.

This week, royal expert Mark Dolan and Daily Expresso host JJ Anisiobi weighed in on the speculation surrounding the next career move of Meghan Markle.

Reacting to the news she could be linked to a potential Hollywood return, Mark Dolan said: "I've got one word for you - desperation."

He added: "It's very interesting because the former editor of People magazine, which is the pro-Harry and Meghan publication, that even this guy, the ex-editor has turned on Harry and Meghan with that awful thing called the truth, which they detest, and he revealed that they've burned through Harry's inheritance from his mother and his great-grandmother, the Queen Mother.

"He said that actually, Meghan is really freaking out about money, that she's really worried, and he revealed that Harry's not because Harry is an aristocrat and doesn't understand money, doesn't understand bills, or liabilities, or debt.

"And that, actually, love her or hate her, Megan has climbed her way to the top of her own. She's been someone that didn't have money, then did. So it's my understanding, and based upon what this guy from People magazine has said as well, that she's freaking out."

Dolan continued: "So I suspect that this move into Hollywood is to bring some money. And I think it's crushingly embarrassing for Meghan, because she has set herself up as an international global influencer, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, and that's the Meghan brand. She ditched the actress thing.

"And the reason why is because, in a rare Megan self-reflection, she realised that she's not a horrible actress. I mean, she couldn't even pretend to be a nice person on her own TV show, with a crew of 100 and an editor."

But a representative for the Duchess of Sussex, who married Prince Harry in 2018, has since told E! News that there is "no truth" to claims she is in talks to reprise her role as Rachel Zane.

The original series, created by Aaron Korsh, concluded in 2019 after nine seasons. Markle left Suits in 2017 as she transitioned away from acting and into royal life after her relationship with Prince Harry became public.
