Meghan Markle has faced some brutal criticism online after sharing a new promotional clip for her lifestyle brand As Ever, with some social media users mocking the Duchess of Sussex over what they described as an overly polished and "cringe" aesthetic. The video, which also appears on the brand’s website homepage, showcases a curated, cinematic-style vision of the As Ever world.

It features soft-focus garden imagery, close-ups of fruit and flowers, and Meghan Markle herself preparing and enjoying products from the range, including marmalades and spreads. The clip highlighted products already available through As Ever, including fruit spreads, teas, and candles. In the video, Meghan wore a series of understated, neutral-toned outfits, including casual jeans and a floor-length white gown paired with a white blazer.

In a joint post shared by Meghan and the brand, the caption reads: "Welcome to the World of As ever.

"What began with fruit from Meghan's garden, simmered into preserves in her home kitchen, has inspired our curated collections to bring surprise and delight to your everyday."

Nancy from TWiN TALK W/ The Sidley Twins YouTube channel which discusses pop culture, royal and breaking news wrote on X (formerly Twitter) about the video: "There’s no way she’s being serious."

Another user called Hanz from Fashionista Era who comments on fashion and entertainment news added: "Another cringe performance by Meghan.

"The editing was professional this time. The clothing is her usual neutrals, which makes it feel dull and boring. I think she’s either trying to soft launch her fashion line on website or do a collab. Get ready, looks like next reinvention."

A further post on X was even more blunt, stating: "The more she tries to look authentic, the more she fails."

Others defended the Duchess and praised the aesthetic direction of the video. Supporters described Meghan as “absolutely stunning,” while another user said the overall presentation was “very beautiful.”

The As Ever brand, which launched in 2025, positions itself as a curated lifestyle label offering home goods, food products and seasonal collections. Its visual identity leans heavily on natural imagery, domestic settings and a soft luxury aesthetic.

Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand officially ended its partnership with Netflix, it was announced in March.
