Sarah Ferguson may once have loved being in the spotlight, but it seems that this is no longer the case. Since last September, when Sarah’s past friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein started to make headlines, the former duchess has been keeping an extremely low profile.

This lack of visibility has continued over recent months as more Epstein files have shown how close Sarah and Epstein were, with Sarah having once called him a “legend”. While many have wondered where Sarah has been, it has now been reported that she spent weeks at a very expensive rehab clinic.

It is believed the former duchess checked her into the £13,000-a-day Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, after Christmas.

The Daily Mail reports that she then stayed at the wellness retreat until the end of January.

It is believed Sarah checked herself in alone, with the clinic offering various recovery programmes.

The clinic, which Sarah has visited before, also allows guests access to private chefs and a chauffeur, as well as visits from experts who can aid recovery.

While Sarah has not herself spoken about her recent visit there, she did reveal in a piece for The Telegraph last year that she had visited the clinic as a guest in summer 2025, rather than a patient.

Writing in The Telegraph, she said: “I wasn’t there to be diagnosed, but we discussed my own childhood and the profound scars that were left when my mother left the family when I was 12 for a new life in South America.

“This certainly led to feelings of unworthiness, and I’m sure contributed to an unhealthy attitude to food that often threatened to spiral into a full-scale eating disorder.”

Sarah also spoke in this article about the various treatments the clinic offers to people in need, as she encouraged people with mental health issues to seek help.

It is not known where Sarah is currently staying at the moment; however, it is believed she was house-hunting in the Windsor area.

It was confirmed last year that once her and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, were evicted from Royal Lodge in Windsor, Sarah would not be moving to Norfolk.
