Sarah Ferguson's exclusion from huge royal event left her pondering her 'mistakes'

Sarah Ferguson was on the receiving end of a brutal snub by Prince William after it was found she was not invited to William and Catherine's wedding in 2011. The couple tied the knot in Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.

King Charles 'breaks silence' as true feelings about Donald Trump state visit revealed

King Charles is reportedly not the biggest fan of the US President Donald Trump, it has been claimed this week. While the monarch, 77, and the President always seem very friendly and familiar with one another, including on the latest state visit last year, it is believed that this friendship is not as cosy as it may seem. The King, who is also the King of Canada, reportedly did not want the most recent state visit to even go ahead as Trump had upset many Canadians by introducing tariffs on Canadian exports to the US. The state visit still went ahead at Windsor Castle in September.

Sarah Ferguson threw a '£3,000 champagne party' for her builders

A royal historian has laid bare the lavish spending habits of the former Duchess of York, claiming she once threw a champagne party for the workers who helped her move home. It was reported in 1995 that Fergie was "forced" out of her home at Romenda Lodge because the owner decided to sell the mansion on Wentworth Estate and raise the rent.

Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, states that Fergie reportedly threw a "£3,000 champagne party" for the 150 builders and removal men who helped transport her belongings. During this time, the contrast between her lavish lifestyle and admission of her financial instability was so stark that the spread "drew attention to both her extravagant lifestyle and her debts", Mr Lownie wrote.

'I analysed two pictures of Sarah Ferguson - the pitiful comparison is obvious'

After years of failed money-making ventures involving Sarah Ferguson, royal commentator Richard Eden says two photographs capture the former Duchess of York’s dramatic rise and decline.

Speaking on the Palace Confidential podcast, Eden described what he called “an obvious and frankly pitiful comparison” between an upbeat image of Ferguson crouching beside a model of her children’s character Budgie the Helicopter outside Bloomingdale’s in New York and a later photograph taken on her 50th birthday in 2009, where she appeared markedly diminished.
