Prince Philip 'bugged Sarah Ferguson’s phone' and used 'hidden cameras', author claims
Author Andrew Lownie has made new claims about Prince Philip.

Prince Philip reportedly ordered people to monitor Sarah Ferguson’s actions and use “audio bugs” on her, it has been claimed by a royal author. On his Substack The Lownie Report author Andrew Lownie - famous for his latest book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York - has claimed that Philip had “ordered illegal wiretapping” on the former duchess when she separated from Philip’s son Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
According to Lownie, sources have informed him that Philip ordered a private investigator to follow Sarah, 66, for a year before she divorced Andrew in 1996. It has also been claimed by Lownie that a source said Philip used “audio bugs and hidden cameras” to spy on the former duchess. As well as this, Philip reportedly had her phone bugged.

These claims by Lownie come as the former duchess continues to keep a low profile following the revelation just months ago that she had emailed the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 after he was released from prison for child sex offences.
In the email, Sarah called Epstein her “supreme friend” and apologised for publicly criticising him.
A spokesperson for the former duchess claimed she only sent the email out of fear he was going to sue her for defamation.
While the latest revelations could mean that Sarah is not necessarily popular among all of the royals anymore, it may not come as a surprise to know that Philip was reportedly never keen on her after her and Andrew’s split.

It is believed that he avoided any interactions with his former daughter-in-law, especially when a picture of Sarah having her toes sucked by her lover John Bryan during a holiday in France in 1992 emerged.
It is believed the photographs made the papers while Sarah was staying at Balmoral, with Gyles Brandreth claiming that Philip no longer wanted anything to do with her after the scandal.
Brandreth once wrote in The Daily Mail: "The Duke of Edinburgh decided that, as far as he was concerned, ‘enough was enough’.
"He did not want - or need - to have anything more to do with her. For the remainder of Sarah’s stay at Balmoral, his actions spoke louder than words.”
