Sarah Ferguson has suffered a new blow after her latest children’s book has been withdrawn from sale before it even hit the shelves. Sarah, who lost her title Duchess of York last month, was set to celebrate the release of her newest book Flora And Fern: Kindness Along The Way in October.

However, the publication of the book was delayed, and is now reportedly not set to go ahead. This is likely to be as a result of the scandals Sarah has found herself entangled in, with it being revealed just weeks ago that she emailed the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 after he was released from prison for child sex offences.

The email saw Sarah call Epstein her “supreme friend” and apologise for criticising him in a media interview, with a spokesperson for the former duchess saying she only sent the email at the time out of fear Epstein was going to sue her for defamation.

Despite this, the revelation of such an email, and scandals that have followed, have led to the ultimate PR crisis for Sarah.

While unconfirmed, it is believed this could be the reason why her latest book is not set to hit the shelves anytime soon.

As reported by The BBC, the book was originally shown as being available from 20 November on Amazon, however it is no longer on the website.

NielsenIQ Book Data confirmed to The BBC that the title had been marked as "withdrawn from sale" at the request of the publisher New Frontier Publishing, with no comment made on why this is.

BBC News said that Neill Denny, from the book trade news website Book Brunch, told them that the recent scandals Sarah is involved in is likely to be to blame for the lack of publication.

Denny told the publication: "You have to imagine it's to do with the current controversies. It's not the right time to release a book by Sarah Ferguson."

It’s not yet known whether the book will be published at a later date, and if so, when.

However, it is believed Sarah, 66, will continue to keep a low profile for some time, with rumours swirling that she could be soon to set up home in Portugal. Her ex husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, has also faced scandals and lost his royal titles, as well as the Royal Lodge home they have co-habited.
