Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix deal falls far short of the blockbuster terms they enjoyed last time, a Royal insider has claimed. The Sussexes announced the agreement earlier this week, unveiling fresh projects for the streaming giant but without revealing any financial details.

While their debut contract was widely reported to be worth around $100 million, the latest offer is said to be only a fraction of that sum. Speaking to Page Six on Monday, the source summed it up with a blunt three-word verdict: “It’s not much.” They claimed Netflix had taken “no risk” with the smaller arrangement, while still benefiting from the PR value of keeping the couple in their orbit, adding that it "saves them both reputationally". Nevertheless, if the account is accurate, it points to a quieter chapter for Harry and Meghan—still present on the platform, but without the fanfare or fortune of their first deal.

Taylor Swift recalls hilarious dilemma when meeting Prince William at Wembley concert

Taylor Swift has recalled a hilarious dilemma that she had when she met Prince William and his two eldest children at her Wembley concert last year. The 35-year-old, who will release her 12th album, titled The Life of a Showgirl, later this year, met the royal trio at the Eras Tour's first show at Wembley Stadium on June 21, 2024.

Joined by Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 10, William was seen excitedly dancing and singing along in the crowd before he later took his children backstage to meet Taylor. Taylor appeared on the August 13 episode of her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, where she recalled Jason attending a London show on her Eras Tour.

Meghan Markle fans furious as Duchess teams up with 'controversial' guest

A certain celebrity guest who has featured in the trailer for season two of Meghan Markle's Netflix show 'With Love, Meghan' has caused quite the stir. After model Chrissy Teigen appeared in a scene to make crafts with Meghan, several users took to social media to share their disdain at Chrissy being in the clip.

In 2011, Ms Teigen allegedly sent TV personality Courtney Stodden messages on X urging them to take their own life. Ms Teigen, who is married to singer John Legend, said she was "ashamed and completely embarrassed" of her actions.

Prince Harry 'couldn't do a thing wrong' when I worked for the Palace

A former PR adviser to the late Queen Elizabeth II has shared how Prince Harry was "absolutely loved" when she worked for Buckingham Palace. The expert was the late Queen's press secretary from 2001 to 2013 and throughout her time worked on Prince William and Princess Kate's wedding in 2011 and the birth of Prince George in 2013.

Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, Ailsa Anderson said: "Harry was the media's darling. He was the war hero, he'd served in Afghanistan, he was a cheeky chappie. If you speak to royal correspondents who have been in the job a long time, they all absolutely loved Harry." She added: "Compared to William, in fact. William was seen as more serious and shy but Harry was the life and soul of the party. He couldn't do a thing wrong. And certainly when I spoke to him, he was funny and intelligent."

'Netflix should have done one thing instead of striking up new deal with Harry and Meghan'

Netflix should have focused its new deal primarily on Meghan Markle, a broadcaster has claimed in light of The Sussexes striking up a new "first-look" deal with the streaming giant this week. Prince Harry and Meghan previously secured a lucrative five-year contract, thought to be worth more than $100 million (£74 million) with Netflix after quitting royal duties 2020.

Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, Express columnist Esther Krakue said she thought the streaming giant should have "sunk" its funds into Meghan instead. She said: "Even though she's not entertaining the way that she thinks she is. Harry just has, there's just nothing to him in terms of entertainment value." She added: "And I think this is probably why Netflix are like, yeah, let's deal with the wife."

Meghan Markle's drops 'subtle' message to Royal Family with £6k necklace

Meghan Markle wanted to send a "subtle" message with one of her sartorial choices in the new trailer for the new season of her Netflix show, an expert has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex appeared in the new teaser for season two of With Love, Meghan and debuted a new guest lineup for her viewers.

Meghan sported various outfits throughout the 1-minute-and-40-second video, but there was one accessory which held quite a significance.

The item in question was a £6,000 Jessica McCormack pendant necklace, which the Duchess has been wearing since 2018, when she was still a working royal.

And according to a jewellery expert, Meghan's accessory holds a hidden message, which she could have been aiming at the Royal Family amid the ongoing rift.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 'calculated move' with Netflix revealed

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a "calculated move" regarding their new deal with Netflix, a PR expert has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Archewell Productions announced on Monday that they are "extending their partnership" with Netflix with a new "multi-year first look" deal.

Netflix's new deal will see the streaming giant have the first look at the Sussex couple's ideas before deciding if they want to work on them.

Several commentators have analysed the new deal, details of which have been few, with many of them dubbing it a "downgrade" from their previous one.

But now a PR expert said the deal may not be a retreat but rather a "strategic reset" for the Montecito couple.

Harry and Meghan signed deals with Netflix and Spotify, the latter of which dropped them, while the former announced a new, watered-down deal just this week, while the Duke released a bombshell memoir and the Duchess released her own brand and went into podcasting.

But Ms Frankel said most of their projects have been flopping for one reason.
