Inside Clarence House where King Charles went to recover after his brief hospital visit
After King Charles's visit to The London Clinic on Thursday he rested at his central London home at Clarence House.

King Charles, 76, was briefly admitted to The London Clinic on March 27, after experiencing "temporary side effects" from his cancer treatment. Buckingham Palace said that after "scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer" on Thursday, the King "experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital".
The King visited The London Clinic on Thursday morning and travelled to and from the hospital by car. He was not joined by Queen Camilla during his brief stay, who was attending a scheduled celebratory event for ITV.
After Charles's brief medical visit, he returned to Clarence House, which serves as his London residence and was said to be on good form as he worked on state papers and made calls from his study.

Clarence House stands beside St James's Palace and is walking distance of Buckingham Palace. Before the King moved in in 2003, it had been the home to Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother from 1953 until her death at the age of 101 in 2002.
To prepare Clarence House for the-then Prince of Wales in 2003, the building underwent extensive refurbishment and redecoration to reflect the new occupancy.
The property was unfortunately heavily damaged in the Second World War by bombing during The Blitz where little remains of the original structure as designed by John Nash in 1825-27 - but it is Grade I listed on the National Heritage List for England.
It was originally intended as a residence for Prince William Henry, the Duke of Clarence, who later became King William IV, and has since been inhabited by many senior royals.

Describing the home, royal gardening author George Plumptre told OK!: "It’s a lovely little walled urban sanctuary.
"The gardens are quite shady because there are enormous plane trees running along them, but what makes it nice is that it stretches from the front of Clarence House along the front of the adjacent St James’s Palace."
It is understood that the King is now travelling to his Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire after being seen in public for the first time following his hospital visit.
The King was spotted in the car leaving Clarence House this morning and waving to well-wishers on his route to Highgrove. The nine-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion is renowned for its beautiful décor and stunning gardens and it was purchased by the King in 1980.
