Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been criticised after the Duchess spoke about herself rather than the causes she is supporting in a recent interview.

Meghan opened up about her previous mental health struggles, saying she has still not yet “scraped the surface on my experience” of having suicidal thoughts.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told Sky News Australia that Meghan and Harry have "no credibility of self-awareness."

She said: "I think it is wildly inappropriate to make an interview like that about yourself. You will not see the Princess of Wales do a sit-down interview and laugh and smile her way through a cancer conversation.

"She might take up pediatric cancer causes. She might spotlight stories of children that touch her deeply. She is not going to mic up and try and garner sympathy for herself.

"Harry and Meghan not only lack credibility, but they lack self-awareness, and I cannot imagine what kind of hell it must be to work for these two."

In the interview with CBS, Meghan said: “When you’ve been through any level of pain or trauma, I believe part of our healing journey, certainly part of mine, is being able to be really open about it.

“And you know, I haven’t really scraped the surface of my experience. But I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way.

“And I would never want someone else to be making those sorts of plans. And I would never want someone else to not be believed.

“If me voicing what I have overcome will save someone, or encourage someone in their life to really genuinely check in on them and not assume that the appearance is good, so everything’s okay, then that’s worth it.

"No one disses Camilla in royal circles and gets away with it – not even a son of the king,"

Meanwhile, People Magazine cites a source who claims Harry's calls are being ignored by the King.

The source said: "He gets ‘unavailable right now'. His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the king's health, but those calls go unanswered, too."

Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be targeted in Colombia

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be targeted by Colombian drug cartels or far-left terrorists looking to embarrass the country's government, a former royal protection officer has said.

Security expert Simon Morgan, a former royal protection officer with the Metropolitan Police, told Express.co.uk Colombia presents a number of risks to the pair - including the surprising reason why they might be key targets.

He said: "They're in good standing because they've been invited by the (Colombian) government. There would be damage to their international reputation if something happened.

"They will put in as much mitigation (against security risks) as they can in a layered security process: vetting people in areas the Sussexes will visit, providing armoured cars I would imagine to be a definite.

"They would also consider security from the air as well."

Prince William 'spitting mad' at Prince Harry comment in new TV appearance

Prince William is furious at his brother Prince Harry for a comment made in a recent TV interview, sources have claimed.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, has made two TV appearances in just a matter of weeks, first in ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial and then with CBS alongside Meghan Markle, 43, over the weekend.

He referenced his late mother Princess Diana, saying: "There's evidence to suggest that [my mother] was being hacked in the mid-90s, probably one of the first people to be hacked. And yet still today, the tabloid press very much enjoy painting her as being paranoid. But she wasn't paranoid."

But sources tell Australian magazine New Idea that William is furious at his feuding brother for mentioning Princess Diana.

"William is spitting mad that Harry would reference this again," the insider claimed. "He's so fed up with [the Sussexes] cashing in on Diana's death."
Back in 2017, the brothers promised they would not speak candidly about their mother's death again – something Harry seemingly has not followed since stepping down as a senior royal.

Meghan Markle's 'victimhood' has become 'tiring in the public’s eyes'

In a revealing new interview on America's CBS network, Meghan Markle was joined by her husband to highlight the negative effects of cyberbullying and the importance of online safety.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, addressed social media bullying on Women's Day earlier this year when she revealed being a victim of cyberbullying herself while pregnant with Archie and Lilibet.“You really wrap your head around why people would be so hateful,” said the duchess of the social media bullying she experienced. “It’s not catty, it’s cruel.”

Leading psychotherapist Gin Lalli waded in on Meghan Markle's perpetual 'victimhood' and how the public could become tired of it."It’s an interesting dynamic, which could be interpreted as a continuation of her portrayal as a victim in the public eye," Lalli told Express.co.uk."This approach could be seen as an attempt to garner public sympathy by highlighting her own adversities. This is typical victimhood. It can take the focus away from the bigger picture.

Couple questioned over "odd" Columbia visit

Daily Mirror Royal Editor Russel Myers has questioned Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Colombia visit, calling the decision "odd".

“It's all a bit of a muddle for Prince Harry and Meghan because, on one hand, they're saying that they don't feel comfortable coming to the UK and they're more than happy to go to Nigeria and Colombia,” Mr Myers told Sky News Australia. “I'm sure they will be afforded lots of security there. But quite an odd decision, I think.”
