When it comes to choosing fragrance, opting for a designer scent helps ensure you have a long-lasting perfume that won't need to be topped up throughout the day. If you're after a fragrance that has the royal seal of approval, Princess Kate reportedly uses Jo Malone's Orange Blossom Cologne.

She is such a fan of the fruity and floral scent that it is believed Kate even wore it on her wedding day to Prince William in April 2011. The luxurious perfume is not often on sale, however savvy shoppers have spotted a disount on beauty retailer All Beauty. It would typically cost £118 but is now £111.95 here.

The sophisticated choice blends floral and citrus notes and could easily be worn both in the daytime and evening. With a top note of clementine flower, a heart of white lilac and a base note of orris wood, it's an elegant perfume so it's little wonder that it is favoured by the Princess of Wales.

Jo Malone's signature packaging will look gorgeous on a bedside dresser or bathroom cabinet and fans have been quick to say how 'uplifting' they find the fragrance. One person said: "I am a huge fan of another Jo Malone scent but decided to give this one a go as rumour has it that it’s Kate Middleton’s favourite! It’s a very wearable, summer fragrance. Light and floral."

Another wearer wrote: "I've been buying this perfume for years, it's my all time favourite. People always compliment me on it and ask to borrow it, enough so that I bought it for my sister. 10/10 love this perfume."

And a third noted: "This beautiful fragrance starts with a fresh mandarin like smell which softens down to a 'warmer' powdery floral smell (although not at all cloying). It is feminine and sophisticated. I am totally in love with it."

However, some would 'love Jo Malone to make an eau de parfum or at least an eau de toilette' as they tend to be longer lasting. The Diptyque Eau Des Sense eua de toilette is £129 for 100ml and features notes of orange blossom, patchouli and juniper berry.

While Princess Kate is said to prefer Jo Malone's Orange Blossom, her sister-in-law Meghan Markle opts for Jo Malone's Wild Bluebell - and it currently has a bigger discount than Kate's go-to scent, saving you £23.60.

Shoppers can also try the Jo Malone Orange Blossom perfume with this travel-size 50ml bottle from John Lewis for £55. The Jo Malone Orange Blossom candle is also available at John Lewis for £56. Prince William and Princess Kate are said to have fragranced Westminster Abbey on the day they tied the knot by burning the candle.
