Prince William set to visit beautiful UK islands in historic royal visit
The Prince of Wales will make his first official visit to the UK archipelago next week since becoming Duke of Cornwall after the death of the late Queen.
Prince William is set to make a historic royal trip to a beautiful UK archipelago next week.
The Prince of Wales will head to the Isles of Scilly next Friday for the first time since becoming Duke of Cornwall - a title which he inherited after the death of the late Queen Elizabeth in September 2022.
He will also visit Newquay, Cornwall the day before.
During the visit, he will meet representatives from local businesses on the harbour front and pay a visit to St Mary's Medical Centre.
On May 9, William will pay a visit to the site in Nansledan where the Duchy of Cornwall's first-ever innovative housing project to help address homelessness will be built.
The royal will then spend time at Fistral Beach where he will hear from local organisations who are working to keep the beach safe.
The Prince of Wales will spend time with both Holywell Bay and Newquay Surf Life Saving Clubs, both of whom train and support volunteers to save lives and prevent drowning in open water.
William set to meet members of both clubs as demonstrations take place on the beach.
The royal, 41, will also then meet lifeguards and staff from the RNLI, who provide a seasonal service on Fistral Beach.
During this part of Friday's visit, he will hear all about the work they are doing to keep local people and tourists safe as they prepare for another busy summer season.
RNLI will also celebrate their 200th anniversary later this year, having been formed in 1824.
As something that occasionally occurs during royal visits, William will also meet members of the public during his visit.

Speculation is rife over whether Harry will take the time to visit his father and William.
A royal expert has stated that a reunion between William and Harry "won't happen in a hurry".
