Who is Princess Kate’s Uncle Gary as he 'signs up' for Celebrity Big Brother
Gary Goldsmith is reported to have said that there will be no subjects off limits when the TV cameras roll.
Princess Kate’s Uncle Gary has signed to appear on Celebrity Big Brother according to reports.
But who is Gary Goldsmith and what could it mean for the Royal Family should the straight talking businessman appear on the show?
Mr Goldsmith, 58, is the younger brother of Kate’s mother Carole Middleton, 68.
He’s outspoken too - so viewers will be hoping that he lets some royal secrets slip as it’s understood that he has told TV bosses that there are no topics off limits.
In fact, he's so open with his opinions on the royals that it was initially reported he was planning to have a book published in retort to Prince Harry’s controversial memoir Spare.
However it’s believed that his sister Carole stepped in and persuaded him to change the book’s focus.
The source said: “Gary is now focused on writing a book about his business ventures and how he became so successful.
“Writing about private family secrets or including details about a feud with Harry and Meghan just didn’t make sense following all the antics that have gone on in recent years. It’s best to put that chapter well and truly behind them.”

Mr Goldsmith first spoke about penning a memoir back in 2013. He also tried to win a place on I’m A Celebrity last year but was rejected at the final stage.
A TV insider told The Sun: "The CBB team love him because of his link to Kate and the fact that he’s confident and loud and won’t hold back, he’s made it clear he will talk about everything and anything, and he’s pretty outspoken when it comes to Harry and Meghan.
“Gary also holds a deep affection for Kate and Wills and will be able to give a fascinating insight into what it’s really like being related to the future King and Queen."
A Big Brother spokesperson: “Any names suggested for Celebrity Big Brother are purely speculation,” reports The Mirror.
