Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have given an exciting update via The Archewell Foundation on one of their philanthropic ventures in Africa, the continent that the Duke has previously dubbed his "second home".
The couple have been supporting students, particularly young girls, in Nigeria, providing them with menstrual products and other essential school supplies as they return to school in the West African country.
This scheme resonates especially close to home for Meghan, who has previously revealed that she is 43 percent Nigerian herself, according to an ancestry test.
A statement on Archewell's website announced: "As students around the world returned to school this month, The Archewell Foundation supported girls’ education and health by sending school supplies and menstrual products to young scholars in Nigeria with The GEANCO Foundation.
"GEANCO provides critical health care and education services in Nigeria. Its David Oyelowo Leadership Scholarship provides full tuition, medical care, and social and emotional support to young female victims of terrorism and gender inequality in Nigeria."

Their statement added: "AWF's (Archewell Foundation) support will also provide menstrual health education for 2,500 girls in the region GEANCO serves, supporting the health and well-being of girls pursuing their education."
A host of pictures of the delighted students receiving their new well-stocked backpacks was posted alongside the announcement, with sanitary towels provided by the actress Shay Mitchell's line Béis.
Their backpacks were filled with friendship bracelets, water bottles, pencil cases and other essentials for going back to school.

The GEANCO Foundation was founded in 2005 by Dr. Godwin Onyema and his family, and its name is an acronym for each member of the Onyema family: Godwin, Ebele, Afam, Nche & Nma (Mum) and Chukwugozie Onyema, according to their website.
During the Invictus Games in Germany earlier this month the Duchess of Sussex showed up in support of Team Nigeria, resulting in them giving her a suitably royal nickname.
PEOPLE magazine reported that Meghan's new Nigerian name is 'Amira Ngozi Lolo' , with the name Amira coming from a legendary warrior princess, while Ngozi means 'blessed' and Lolo means 'royal wife'.
Earlier this year it ws reported that Harry has expressed a desire to take his young son Prince Archie on a trip to Africa to create some special father-son memories.
The Dke previously said that travelling to the continent helped him with his grief after the loss of his mother Princess Diana in a car accident in 1997.
He has said he feels "at peace" there, adding: "It’s where I’ve felt closest to my mother and sought solace after she died, and where I knew I had found a soulmate in my wife."
