Meghan and Harry 'feel like they have won' as Sussexes now 'in control' of their own image
MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry "feel like they have won" in their battle to be "in control" of their own image, a royal expert has claimed.
Prince Harry and Meghan 'feel they've won' says Scobie
Omid Scobie, author of Finding Freedom, which chronicles the events surrounding the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the Royal Family, told a new BBC podcast that he believed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have "won" their war of how they are portrayed in the British media.
Discussing the issue of the Sussexes ongoing battles to take command of how others see them, Mr Scobie told Amol Rajan's "Harry, Meghan and the Media" podcast that the California-based pair have begun to forge their "own court" of controlling how they are perceived.
He said: "I think for Harry and Meghan, they are now building their own court.
“They have their own private press team working for them."
Mr Scobie noted how this press team has given the Sussexes a new-found ability to quickly crack down on stories about their lives.

He noted how since the pair's departure from the Royal Family “we see that very quickly they are putting out denials about stories".
The royal author added how the pair are "able to answer back very quickly” and as a result, he argue "they are as in control, as they can be, of their narrative".
Mr Scobie argued this was evidence that "for them, I think they feel they have won” in the campaign to regain control of their image.
Analysing the issue further, the royal expert went on to ask when the last time the public had heard "a leak about them".

He added: "When was the last time you heard a negative story written about them?"
Mr Scobie argued that while "commentary is negative" about the pair, there have "not been any" negative examples of "private details" about their lives.
He argued the same phenomena has been seen through their work, where they have seemingly been able to give quick answers to speculation.
The Finding Freedom author stressed this was a real-time example of how successful the pair have been in pulling in the reigns to control their image.
