Prince William inspired Harry to start family after Duke thought: 'I'd like a bit of this'
PRINCE HARRY was inspired by Prince William to start a family, as the royal saw his brother's growing household and thought "I'd like a bit of this", an expert claimed in a documentary.
Prince Harry: Robert Jobson discusses inspiration from William
Harry and Meghan Markle have been back under the public spotlight in recent weeks after carrying out a joint speech. The pair also recently announced they had joined Ethic — an asset manager that markets itself as "ethical" — as "impact partners". In a statement, they said they hoped the move would encourage young people to invest "sustainably".
Ethic is believed to have $1.3bn (£941million) of assets under management.
The new job is just one in a portfolio of roles the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have taken on since leaving the Royal Family last year.
Much has been said of the momentous fallout that ensued between the pair and the rest of the Firm, most notably the broken-down relationship between Harry and his brother William.
Things haven't always been this way, however.
As his older brother, Harry looked up to William for much of his life.
As children, the young princes were inseparable.
Then, William went off to university, where he would meet his future wife, Kate Middleton.
The Duchess of Cambridge soon became a part of royal life, and struck up a close bond with Harry.

William and Kate married in 2011 and went on to have three children.
While all of this was happening, Harry had had two girlfriends, Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas.
But, as royal author Eve Pollard noted during Channel 5's 2019 documentary, 'Royals at War': "Harry didn't ever seem to settle.
"In both those girls [Chelsy and Cressida] I think he had great relationships, but he was looking for something else."
Robert Jobson, also a royal author, suggested that Harry looked to William for a source of inspiration for his own family dreams.
He said: "He'd seen his brother's relationship which was very close and very happy — his brother had become a dad.

"And I think he was thinking, 'I'd like a bit of this. But first, I've got to find the right woman.'"
Harry met Meghan in the summer of 2016, and the pair hit it off immediately.
Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl described her as "great, vibrant and fun".
The pair had a lot in common, namely their passion for charity work, which is evident today.
In September 2017, Meghan and Harry were pictured for the first time holding hands together in public as they attended the Invictus Games opening ceremony at Toronto.
Up until this point, they had mostly avoided the spotlight.
In a Vanity Fair interview at the time, Meghan said: "We're two people who are really happy and in love.
"We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people's perception."
Seven months later, the pair were getting married at Windsor Castle.
A combined audience of an estimated 11.5million tuned in to watch the nuptials.
They went on to have their first child, Archie, in 2019.
However, by January 2020, after a string of events, they announced they would be leaving the UK for North America.
Moving to Canada, they quickly headed south to the US, where they currently reside in Meghan's native California.
This year, they welcomed their second child, Lilibet, into the world, with much speculation surrounding where she will be christened.
