Royal fury as Queen's death plans leaked in Operation London Bridge papers
ROYAL watchers have been stunned and outraged after state plans for what happens when the Queen dies have been leaked online.
Queen put foot down to include beloved cousin at family event
Although the Queen is in good health, the Government still has plans in place in case she passes away. In the papers, the Government has set out a 10-day plan for how the UK will respond to the monarch's death. The documents state how to inform ministers of her passing and lay out the proper protocol for social media activity.
The detailed plan was part of a leaked report published by Politico today.
Given the hard and tragic year the 95-year-old monarch has had the leaked report sparked outrage across social media as she deals with the death of Prince Philip.
GB News journalist, Cameron Walker claimed the leaked report was "distasteful" as it comes just months after the death of her beloved husband.
He said: "I think it’s very distasteful that Government plans for the Queen’s death have been leaked to the press."
Political commentator, Ian Dunt also expressed his anger at the "gross" leak.
He said: "Find the Queen's death protocol leak completely gross.
"It's not often I say this but: why leak it? What's the benefit?
"Whole thing feels morbid and icky."

Royal commentator, Angela Levin claimed the leak had been cruel and questioned why it had been released given what Her Majesty has been through over the last 12 months.
She said: "I think it is awful and cruel to release the top-secret plans about the Queen's death.
"Where are our morals?"
Politico reporter Alex Wickham, who broke the story, also faced backlash on social media.

One person simply said: "Poor taste."
Another added: "Any public interest served in leaking this information is outweighed by the tastelessness of so doing.
"The subject is still very much alive."
The leak comes at a time when the Queen lost what she termed as her rock in Prince Philip.
Previously the Queen had claimed Philip had "been my strength and stay all these years".
Philip passed away in April at the age of 99, ending what was a 73-year marriage.
Tragically, the Queen and Philip, who had known Her Majesty since 1934, were forced to spend the remaining year of their marriage isolated away at Windsor Castle due to the pandemic.
Her Majesty has also been unable to meet great-grandchild Lilibet Diana Mountbatten, in what has been such an arduous and difficult time for the Queen.
