Buckingham Palace fury as Queen exploited in doctored Trump image
A DOCTORED image of the Queen wearing a hat reading "Make America Great Again" on the side of a bus supporting Donald Trump has led Buckingham Palace to ask for its removal, it has been reported.
Queen's 'resilience' is 'hugely admirable' says expert
Buckingham Palace has made a formal request to have a doctored image of the Queen removed from the "Trump Train", according to Buzzfeed News. The Trump Train is an unofficial campaign tour bus that supported the re-election of the 45th US President during the 2020 US presidential election campaign.
One side of the bus shows a large image of the Queen in a red outfit.
The original photograph of the Queen was taken by Christopher Furlong on April 1, 2011, during a visit to Wales.
It shows the smiling monarch wearing a diamond brooch on her lapel and floral decoration on her hat.
However, the version of the picture used on the bus, placed next to a logo reading "Women for Trump", shows Her Majesty wearing a hat with the famous Trump slogan "Make America Great Again" and a badge on her coat bearing the symbol of QAnon.
A palace spokesperson told BuzzFeed News they were aware of the fact the Queen's image was being used.
They added: "Representations asking for removal have been made."
Contacted by Express.co.uk, Buckingham Palace did not comment.
The Queen remains strictly neutral when it comes to politics both in the UK and abroad.
13 US Presidents, including Joe Biden, have served throughout her record-breaking reign.

The doctored picture of the Queen has been on the side of the bus, owned by Trump supporter Buddy Hall, for more than one year.
The bus presents an array of images that appear to have been modified, including a portrait of former US President Ronald Reagan wearing a red hat bearing the word "Trump".
The bus originally supported the re-election of Mr Trump and his Vice-President Mike Pence in 2020.
However, as he prepares to support the campaign for the re-election of Mr Trump in 2024, Mr Hall recently said he is set to remove images of the former Vice-President from the bus.

On May 1, a post on the Facebook page dedicated to the Trump Train bus read: "The 2020 bud is getting the wrap all taken off and a new complete wrap installed in 2 weeks taking TRAITOR PENCE OFF replacing with DESANTIS, Candace Owens Don Junior Laura Trump General Flynn Rand Paul and many others."
In a video published on Facebook on May 8, the person recording said: "The paint is coming off. We are getting the bus re-wrapped."
After showing a few changes already made to the bus, including replacing 2020 with 2024, he continued: "So we are re-wrapping the bus. This is a doctored version of the 2020 bus.
"The four there, we just put a four over the zero, 'round three'...we put a three over the two. And everything else is the same."
Express.co.uk has contacted Mr Hall asking whether he plans to remove the Queen's image from the bus.
Mr Trump has not yet confirmed he will run as a candidate for the 2024 US presidential elections.
Last week, the bus was seen at a rally held by Representatives and fervent supporters of Mr Trump Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene in Florida.
The Queen met Mr Trump while he was president for the first time at Windsor Castle in July 2018.
In June 2019, during Mr Trump's state visit to the UK, the monarch welcomed him at Buckingham Palace.
Mr Trump spoke fondly about the Queen after his state visit, saying the Queen "hasn't had so much fun in 25 years".
He added: "Then I got criticized for it, because they said we were having too much fun.
"It doesn't matter, but we had a great relationship, and I had a great relationship with Charles, and honestly I have a very good relationship with a lot of the foreign leaders."
