Princess Eugenie copied Meghan's birth plan as Duchess had 'pulled off' difficult task
PRINCESS EUGENIE "wanted to do the same" as Meghan Markle when it came to the conditions surrounding her pregnancy, royal commentators has claimed, explaining the "interesting" similarity between the two mothers.
Princess Eugenie's birth plan compared to Meghan by experts
Buckingham Palace announced Princess Eugenie gave birth to her first child on February 9. The York family's youngest daughter delivered a son at 8.55am at The Portland Hospital with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, present. Royally Obsessed podcast hosts Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito discussed how this paralleled Meghan Markle giving birth to baby Archie in 2019.
Ms Bowie told listeners: "I thought it was interesting because The Portland Hospital is where Meghan gave birth.
"It's slightly closer to the Windsor areas, I would imagine.
"We don't know the exact reasoning of why they chose that.
"But it's an hour from Royal Lodge, which is where Eugenie and Jack are staying."

Ms Fiorito added: "That doesn't seem too close, to be honest, but it might be for privacy.
"I feel like they were super discreet about Meghan, which could not have been easy.
"They saw how they pulled that off pretty quietly.
"So maybe Eugenie wanted to do the same."

The Portland Hospital is actually where Eugenie was born in 1990.
Princess Margaret’s grandchildren were also all born at the Portland between 1996 and 2002.
Meghan chose the London residence, but the location was not confirmed until it appeared on Archie's birth certificate.
