Princess Anne new 'style icon' after royal used as 'muse' in Italian fashion collection
PRINCESS ANNE has joined Princess Diana, Duchess Kate and Duchess Meghan to be dubbed the new "style icon" by commentators following the royal's influence on an Italian designer label.
Princess Anne remains a 'fashion icon' claims expert
Princess Anne's "effortless, nonchalant style" has become the focus of fascination for fashion designers, according to commentators. This comes after an Italian brand confirmed that they had used the Princess Royal's extended history of outfits as inspiration for their latest collection. Royally Obsessed podcast hosts Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito discussed the new unexpected "style icon".
Ms Bowie told listeners: "My high this week has been the revelation that Princess Anne is a muse for the Serafini fashion house.
"We know that obviously, Diana is a style icon, but so is Anne.
"She's all over the Pre-Fall 2021 mood board for this Italian fashion house called 'Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini', which I'm unfamiliar with.
"The collection even nods to Anne's equestrian days, what she wore to Royal Ascot in the 80s, some of her evening wear."

She continued: "But it also encompasses every aspect of country life.
"I feel like we kind get that on full display The Crown.
"But the mood board is so gorgeous you almost want to print it out.
"I love a good mood board, and this one is such a good tease."

Mr Serafini, the designer himself, gave insight: "I looked at Princess Anne for her effortless, nonchalant style."
Even the former Editor of Paris Vogue has paid homage to the Princess Royal.
At the end of last year, Carine Roitfeld posted a series of pictures of Anne on her Instagram.

At the 2018 Commonwealth Day celebration, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that the princess' elegant cream and navy coat looked familiar.
In fact, the outfit was first seen on her at the Royal Ascot in June 1980, over 40 years ago.
She had also been spotted wearing the coat multiple times since.
