Meghan and Harry exposed: Biggest clue yet that Obamas had hand in royal Netflix deal

Meghan Markle’s Netflix deal ‘mirrors Obamas’ says expert
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed a multi-year deal with Netflix, to produce and possibly star in documentaries, feature films and children's programmes. Former US President and First Lady, Barack and Michelle Obama, have a similar deal with the streaming giant, sparking questions over whether they inspired the Duke and Duchess. Vanity Fair's Royal Correspondent, Katie Nicholl told BBC Breakfast that despite the Obamas' denial, it was "unfathomable" that the two couples had not discussed it.
She said: "The Obamas are certainly a model that the Sussexes are aspiring to.
"Not only has the Netflix deal kept the Obamas very much in the public profile since leaving office, it's also earned them a huge income.
"That is something both Meghan and Harry want to do.
"They have a very tight-knit team over there and as well as that professional team surrounding them, they are certainly taking advice if not from the Obamas themselves."

Ms Nicholl continued: "I know the Obamas have denied giving the couple any advice, but I find it almost unfathomable that they wouldn't have had discussions.
"Particularly given that the Netflix deal so closely mirrors the deal the Obamas signed.
"But don't forget in their new community in Montecito, they've got Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Winfrey as neighbours.
"They are plugged in to a very powerful, influential and successful network, and that is no accident."
Meghan Markle and Harry ‘cannot survive on thin air’ says expert
When the Duke and Duchess announced their decision to step down as senior royals, many speculated that the Obamas had influened the move.
However a source squashed the claims immediately, saying: "The rumors of them having anything to do with this are totally false.
"The former president and first lady are not advising the couple and have not been in contact with them."

The Sussexes have also signed to the same public speaking agency as the Obamas.
The Harry Walker Agency impressive client list includes the former President and First Lady, the Clintons and Serena Williams.
The Duke and Duchess have maintained that they will not be speaking about the Royal Family.
They will also be focusing on more social issues in their Netflix projects.
According to Ms Nicholl, this could include environmentalism, civil rights and the Black Lives Matter campaign.
