Camilla shared a few of her favourite books to help royal fans escape from reality in the midst of the current coronavirus crisis experienced by the UK and the rest of the world. The Duchess admitted some of her current favourite readings may not be considered masterpieces.
However, they provide a "welcome bit of escapism" to the reader during trying times, she added.
She said: “I am delighted to share a few more of my favourite books.
“At present, it might be ambitious to describe them as 'beach reads', but I very much hope they provide a welcome bit of escapism.”
Among her five recommendation for this summer, Camilla listed detective fiction The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins, Edna O’Brien’s bestselling 2019 book Girl, Peter James's crime series Roy Grace and Victoria Hislop’s 2005 historical novel The Island.
Her last recommendation marked a nod to royalty, as it is The Queen’s Necklace by Alexandre Dumas.
Camilla described this book as a “thrilling mystery about a diamond necklace”, and called it an “epic tale of love and hatred, betrayal and courage, set at the court of Louis XVI.”
Camilla's recommendations have been very much welcomed by royal fans on Twitter.

The Duchess of Cornwall, who is the patron of the National Literacy Trust, has often spoken about how important reading is for both children and adults.
In January, she opened up about her love for books in an op-ed she penned for The Sun.
Thanking her beloved father Bruce Shand for bringing her closer to literature, Camilla wrote: "I was very lucky to have a father who read to us when we were children.
"And he didn’t just read books — he brought them alive.
"We couldn’t wait for the next chapter.
"So my love of reading started early and has stayed with me all my life.
"And, looking back, that was one of the greatest gifts my father could have given me."
Camilla was named patron of the National Literacy Trust in 2010 and took upon herself the mission to improve the reading and writing skills of children all over the country.
She continued: "We all know how important reading is for our children.
"Sadly, there are many children who have not yet been given the chance to discover the magic of reading, or set foot in the worlds you can discover on bookshelves.
"Finding the right book can be the key.
"It might be opening the door of the wardrobe into Narnia, training an owl with Harry Potter or plotting to steal the Crown Jewels with Gangsta Granny.
"Or it could be a factual book about computer coding, climate change or cookery that catches their fancy and ends up sparking an obsession that lasts for a lifetime.
"From my own experience, I know how important reading together can be for parents and children."
