Meghan Markle's shock hidden message in first speech since royal split REVEALED
MEGHAN MARKLE wore a stunning royal blue dress as she delivered her first speech since the royal split. However, the gown actually contains a hidden message.
Meghan Markle says Harry and Archie ‘cheering’ for Girl Up
Yesterday, the Duchess of Sussex gave a virtual keynote speech at the UN Foundation’s 2020 Girl Up Leadership Summit. Meghan wore a high-neck blue dress that might seem like a reference to the Royal Family—but in reality, it’s a nod to the United Nations.
The official colours of the UN are white and blue.
The organisation chose the colours because they’re the opposite of red, which is the colour of war.
Although Meghan's outfit choice may be coincidental, its not out of the question that the duchess purposely wore blue to signify unity.
During the speech, Meghan Markle encouraged women to be the voice of the next generation.
She said: “They know that all of you, at a younger age than any modern comparison, are setting the tone for an equitable humanity. Not figuratively, literally.
"This is a humanity that desperately needs you.
"To push it, to push us, forcefully in a more inclusive, more just, and more empathetic direction.
"To not only frame the debate but be in charge of the debate—on racial justice, gender, climate change, mental health and well-being, on civic engagement, on public service, on so much more.

"That’s the work you’re already out there doing.”
The duchess also shared advice on how to support others.
She added: “We are not meant to be breaking each other down; we are meant to be building each other up.
"So, use your voice both on and offline to do just that—build each other up, support each other.”

The speech marks Meghan's first major event since she and Prince Harry stepped down as senior royals.
Meghan Markle even appeared to hit out at the Royal Family in her speech.
The royals are known for following protocol and tradition.
Meghan Markle said: "Another thing about those lawmakers, leaders and executives that I mentioned earlier.
"Many of them better or worse do not listen until they have to.
"Because the status quo is easy to excuse and hard to break but it will pull tightest right before snapping.
"Women have always historically got a lot of 'that is not how it is done or that is an idea but we are going to do this instead' but when do we hear that as women?
"We hear that in the moments when we challenged the norms."
"If that is the case, I say to you keep challenging, pushing, make them a little uncomfortable.
"It is only in that discomfort that we actually create the conditions reimagine our standards, our policy and our leadership to move towards real representation and influence over the structures of decision making and power.
"That path to get us there will take all of us.
"It will take girls and women, it will take men and boys, it will take those that are black and those that are white collectively tackling the inequalities and structural problems that we know to exist."
