Zara Tindall heartbreak: The one royal reunion Zara will be devastated to miss
ZARA TINDALL has spent the pandemic in Gloucestershire with her two young daughters and husband Mike Tindall. This is the one royal reunion Zara will be gutted to miss.
Zara Tindall finding lockdown ‘difficult’ says husband Mike
Zara Tindall, 39, is Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest granddaughter and they share a special bond. Like her grandmother and mother Princess Anne, Zara has a passion for horses and is a talented equestrian. While Zara is a non-working royal there is one family reunion she never fails to miss and will be sad it’s been called off amid the coronavirus crisis.
The Queen is one of Britain’s biggest thoroughbred owners and breeders and adores horse racing.
Royal Ascot racing festival is said to be the Queen’s favourite week of the year and she always blocks out five days in June for it.
The Queen attends every day of the racing festival and is joined by royal family members throughout.
She usually has a handful of horses running throughout the week and often seems her happiest while there.

Last year Zara and her husband Mike were among royals to join the Queen in the royal enclosure at Ascot for the first day of racing.
Princess Anne, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William and Sophie, Countess of Wessex were also there.
From June 1 racing has returned behind closed doors which means Royal Ascot can go ahead but members of the public will not be allowed.
A statement on Royal Ascot 2020 website read: “We’re delighted that racing has resumed and are planning ahead for Royal Ascot.
“We look forward to sharing further information about how you can join in celebrating Royal Ascot at Home in due course.
“Please follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram or keep an eye on ascot.co.uk in the meantime for the latest updates.”
While the Queen and Zara will be delighted that racing is back on they will be sad not see each other at the beloved event.
Instead, the Royal Family are expected to watch the racing on TV at home.
When is Royal Ascot 2020?
Royal Ascot 2020 will take place from Tuesday June 16 to Saturday June 20.

Zara and Mike live in a home of Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Estate where they have been spending lockdown with their daughters - Mia, six, and Lena, two.
Mia returned to school this week as primary schools across the country reopened in accordance with Government advice.
Ahead of Mia’s returned to school Mike opened up about how he and Zara were finding homeschooling.
The doting dad told the Telegraph: “Zara still has hopes that the horses will get back, they still need training and working on, so I get to be a teacher in the mornings which is sometimes really nice, sometimes really frustrating."
He added: “I don’t think any child is a great homeschooler because they definitely listen to other people better than they listen to their parents.
“[Mia] can be brilliant one minute and then something you’ve seen her do a thousand times she’ll just go ‘I don’t know how to do that’ and then you go ‘well I know you do’, and she’ll just say ‘no I don’t’ and then you get frustrated, and you’re trying not to get frustrated.”
On Monday Mike shared a jokey Tweet after dropping Mia off at school.
He shared a GIF on Forrest Gump running away with the caption: “Me after school drop off this morning!”
