Meghan Markle and Harry ‘more vulnerable’ in LA says expert
Prince William is said to have been the first member of the Royal Family to have contacted his brother and sister-in-law after the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey aired. This claim was made by an aide, who speaking to royal biographer Katie Nicholl cast a new light on the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry in late 2019.
Reporting the source's claim, Ms Nicholl wrote in The Sunday Times: “It was then when the family reached out and said, ‘OK, how can we help?’
“William was the first to get on the phone.”
Meghan and Harry opened up about their struggles and the difficulty to cope with the media attention during their successful 10-day tour to Africa.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave two different interviews to ITV broadcaster Tom Brady.
Prince Harry's attention focused more on the scar left on his life by Princess Diana's death and how paparazzi and every click of the camera are a reminder of her passing.
Speaking about Princess Diana's death, Mr Bradby asked: “Do you feel at peace in a way yet, or is it still a wound that festers?”
Prince Harry replied: “I think probably a wound that festers.

“I think being part of this family and this role and this job.
“Every single time I see a camera, every single time I hear a click, every single time I see a flash, it takes me straight back.
“So in that respect it’s the worst reminder of her life, as oppose to the best.
“Being here now 22 years later, trying to finish what she started, it will be incredibly emotional.
“But everything I do reminds me of her, but as I said with the royal job and the pressures that come with that, I get reminded of the bad stuff unfortunately.”
In this interview, Prince Harry also acknowledged that he and his brother were now on different paths.
This came after months of speculation regarding Prince Harry and Prince William's relationship.
Sources claimed over the past year that a rift started between the brothers after the Duke of Cambridge raised concerns to the future Duke of Sussex over the speed at which his relationship with Meghan was going, months before their wedding.
However, it was later claimed the feud was patched up in January, when the Dukes had the chance to meet face-to-face at Sandringham to discuss the terms of Megxit alongside with the Queen and Prince Charles.
Prince Harry wasn't the only Sussex to voice his struggles in the ITV documentary.
On the last leg of their trip, Meghan spoke about her difficult relationship with the press and what impact the media attention was having on her wellbeing.
She said: "I would say…look any woman, especially when they are pregnant, you are really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging.
“And then when you have a newborn, you know?
“And especially as a woman it’s really, it’s really a lot.
“So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mum or trying to be a newlywed it’s…"
The Duchess of Sussex added "not many people" had asked if she was truly okay until that moment.
She said: “Well, I guess, and also thank you for asking, but not many people have asked if I’m ok, but it’s a very real thing to be faint through behind the scenes.”
