Prince Harry’s hoax calls ‘direct result’ of Sussexes’ decision to ignore royal advisors
PRINCE HARRY's humiliating prank was the "direct result" of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex' decision to refuse to take the advice of advisors at Buckingham Palace, a royal expert has said.

Prince Harry’s alleged decision to discuss sensitive topics including politics, climate change and Megxit over the phone shocked senior aides and members of the Royal Family, according to a royal commentator. With royals and Buckingham Palace aides “reeling with shock”, insiders put the blame for this embarrassing situation on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to rely more on their American PR team than Buckingham Palace’s advisors, royal expert Richard Kay said.
He wrote in the Daily Mail: “Yesterday, the Royal Family and senior aides were clearly reeling with shock over the blunder after the calls were published on Facebook and Youtube.
“Insiders warned that the debacle was a direct result of Harry and Meghan’s refusal to take advice from their Buckingham Palace team.
“For the past eight months or so, the couple have been taking advice from a team of US-based PR agents and business managers, many of whom worked with Meghan when she was an actress.”
Prince Harry is said to have decided to twice phone a person he believed to be eco-activists Greta Thunberg and her dad Svante but turned out to be two Russian pranksters, Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov.
Among the confessions made by Prince Harry during two calls, believed to have taken place on New Year’s Eve and January 22, the Duke appears to have included his thought on Donald Trump’s coal policy, Boris Johnson and Prince Andrew.
Discussing the Duke of York’s friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, a voice attributed to Harry takes the distance from his family and his grandmother’s repeated attempts to show unity with Andrew.
The Duke of Sussex was recorded saying: “I have very little to say on that.

“But whatever he has done or hasn’t done, is completely separate from me and my wife.
“We operate in a way of inclusivity and we are focusing on community.
“And so we are completely separate from the majority of my family.”
Harry also allegedly said he believes Mr Johnson is “a good man” but has been around “for so long like all of these other people, they are already set in their ways.”
Speaking about the General Election held in the UK in December, Harry added: “The fact that our choice was between those two individuals in my mind, I think, probably creates more of an observation that the system itself might be broken.
“There’s a lot that the leaders of today can learn and can listen to people like yourself.”
Mr Kay believes these two unfortunate phone calls demonstrate the consequences of “no longer having Buckingham Palace to support” the Sussexes.
He continued: “The ease with which the fake Greta got through to Harry shows just how exposed the prince in his new life now is to hustlers and fraudsters whose motives may be far more dangerous than mere comedians”.
This hoax calls could have a devastating impact on Prince Harry’s authority and credibility in the near future, according to the expert.
He said: “Rather than earning respect for his views , he found himself being mocked.
“An extract from one of the recorded calls was published on Youtube along with animated cartoon of the prince.
“In the accompanying audio, a voice which is reportedly the prince’s tells hoaxers the world is being led by ‘some very sick people’.”
