Katherine Jenkins reveals her crippling fears over lunch with the Queen
KATHERINE JENKINS has revealed she was "so nervous she could hardly speak" when she was invited to a luncheon with Queen Elizabeth II.

The Welsh operatic singer told LBC she feared her table manners were inadequate for the Queen. Ms Jenkins who has an OBE said Her Majesty helped her feel at ease. She explained: “I was so nervous I could hardly speak.
“I was particularly worried whether my table manners would be up to scratch.
"So when they put an enormous finger bowl in front of me, I thought, 'Oh no. I have no idea what to do with this.’”
She added: “I felt embarrassed.
"Then they brought round a fruit platter.
“I think Her Majesty noticed I felt uncomfortable about what to do next and caught my eye and I knew to follow her lead.
The mezzo-soprano added: "I thought it was a really nice gesture, a very caring thing to do."
Ms Jenkins sang God Save The Queen at the Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
She also performed at the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations at Windsor Castle.

The revelations came as the long-awaited date for Princess Beatrice’s wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has finally been confirmed.
It will take place on May 29.
On Friday, the couple announced: “Her Majesty the Queen has kindly given permission for the ceremony to take place at the Chapel Royal, St. James’ Palace.
“The ceremony will be followed by a private reception given by the Queen, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.”

Beatrice will be the first royal to use the Palace since for a wedding reception since her cousin Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge.
Beatrice’s nuptials will means all six of the Queen’s adult grandchildren will be married.
Chapel Royal was the venue of Beatrice’s christening.
It is also where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were married.
Victoria and Albert’s youngest child was also called Beatrice.
Their was speculation Beatrice and Mr Mozzi would look to wed in Italy.
Reports suggest the health of the bride’s grandparents resulted in the couple changing their plans.
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was taken to hospital over the new year.
The Queen no longer travels abroad.
