Meghan Markle and Harry: Expert on couple's announcement
According to The Sun, the Duchess’ American PR team is allegedly already in touch with some of the major networks in the US and famed chat show host Oprah Winfrey. The royal couple could use a US TV platform to try and secure a better deal with senior members of the Royal Family during talks at Sandringham.
A royal source said: “Harry and Meghan’s people have been reaching out to all the big US networks to explore the possibilities of a sit-down warts-and-all interview.
“Perhaps Harry and Meghan will use this as a negotiating tactic as there is no way the royals want their dirty laundry out in the open.
“Maybe they will get more money if they agree not to talk.”
The source added that the couple wish to “tell their side of the story”.
They continued: “Meghan feels she’s been silenced and is no longer prepared to be muted.
"She and Harry feel the royals have been racist and sexist. Her people are actively exploring opportunities.”
It is believed that Meghan’s PR team have been in contact with ABC, NBC and CBS along with Oprah Winfrey.
The chat show host was a surprise guest at Harry and Meghan’s wedding, and is reportedly in contact with them.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland has even been pictured leaving Oprah’s home in the US.
The Duke of Sussex has also already worked with Oprah for an Apple TV series on mental health.
Tomorrow, a summit will take place at Sandringham where Prince William, Prince Charles and Prince Harry will meet with the Queen in order to discuss the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s future in the Royal Family.
The meeting will also allegedly touch on their future royal roles and funding, after the couple said they planned to be “financially independent”.
