The Duchess of Sussex admitted she has struggled with the level of scrutiny since marrying Prince Harry in May 2018. Asked by an ITV interviewer whether it would be “fair to say” she’s “not really ok” Meghan replied “yes”.
Supporters of the first lady took to Twitter to criticise her treatment by some of her husbands critics.
Replying to a story about Meghan one posted a picture of Melania with the caption “this woman is attacked ten times worse and never complains”.
In the picture Melania has a computer added speech bubble by her mouth.
It makes her appear to be saying: “Poor Meghan, attacked by the press because of who she married. I know I feel bad.”

This reference appears to be satirical as there is no record of Melania actually using those words.
One social media user from Britain simply replied: “Absolutely”.
Another from Sussex in the UK added: “Not to mention Camilla who suffered the vilest abuse I have ever seen hurled at anyone.
“She [Meghan] is having a pop at the royal family”.

Another account, which primarily tweets support for Donald Trump and right-wing memes, also came to Melania’s defence.
They commented: “I love Melania.
“People have been so vile towards her and Barron.
“She is truly a private person and is still so gracious in public.”
However other Twitter users were less supportive of the first lady.
Cindy Huber, who lives in the United States, wrote: “She’s complained plenty”.
Slovenian born Melania married Donald Trump in 2005.
The couple have a son together, Barron Trump, who was born a year later.
Meghan recently opened up in an interview with ITV journalist Tom Bradby.
During their conversation she admitted the level of scrutiny has had a real impact.
Asked if she was ok the Duchess replied: “Thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m ok.
“It’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”
When Mr Bradby questioned whether it would be “fair to say” Meghan’s “not really ok” she replied “yes”.
Meghan also spoke of her experience with pregnancy.
She stated: “Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable”.
