Meghan Markle and Prince Harry refuse to share details of their new adopted dog with fans
MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry are following royal tradition with their refusal to share details about the dog they adopted this summer, royal expert Omid Scobie claimed.
Meghan and Harry REFUSE to reveal dog's name says expert
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are believed to have adopted a rescue dog in July to act as a companion for their baby son, Archie Harrison, who stole the show during the Sussexes recent royal tour to Africa. The couple have chosen not to share details about the pup with the public, going as far as keeping the pet's name a secret. But royal expert Omid Scobie claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are keeping with tradition with their decision to remain private about the dog.
Speaking to Yahoo's The Royal Box, Mr Scobie said: "Animals are quite off-limits, or pets are off-limits, for all members of the Royal Family.
"I remember when the Cambridges first got Lupo, there was such a furore over the name of the dog.
"I think it drove press secretaries crazy that they regularly had all of us asking what was the name of this dog.
"Harry and Meghan have actually chosen not to reveal the name of the most recent addition to their family."

Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge were gifted cocker spaniel Lupo shortly after their wedding in 2011 and at first refused to share the name of the pup.
But the Duchess of Cambridge let the cat out of the bag after a pupil at Rose Hill Primary asked her about her new dog during a public engagement.
Meghan Markle is known to have had two dogs prior to her engagement with Prince Harry in 2017, Bogart and Guy.
The Duchess was forced to leave Bogart in Toronto due to old age but brought Guy over to the UK and the pup now lives with the Sussexes at Frogmore Cottage, Windsor.

The couple went on to adopt a black labrador after their wedding, who was initially believed to have been a male pup named Oz. The Duchess denied the claims and confirmed the new dog was a girl but refused to share the name.
Members of the Royal Family are known to have a special connection with dogs and Queen Elizabeth II is usually associated with her trademark Pembroke Welsh corgi.
Her Majesty received her first pet in 1944, a corgi named Susan, to mark her 18th birthday. The dog accompanied then-Princess Elizabeth on her honeymoon with Prince Philip in 1947.
Five of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi the Queen has owned since then are Susan's direct descendants.

One of the descendants, Sugar, became the nursery pet to both Prince Charles and Princess Anne who later received Sugar's pups, Whisky and Sherry, as their personal pets.
The Queen however has not owned a corgi since Willow, Susan's 14th generation descendant, had to be put down in 2018 aged 15 due to cancer.
Her Majesty stopped breeding corgis in 2015, reportedly to make sure she did not leave any behind following her death.
The sovereign still owns two dogs, Vulcan and Candy, but they are not full-breed corgis as they are formally known as dorgi - a cross-breed Princess Margaret introduced when one of her dachshunds mated with one of the Queen's corgis.
