Kate likes it hot! Duchess tries to spice things up in the kitchen, but William's not a fan
THE Duke of Cambridge and wife Kate charmed children at the Aga Khan centre in London yesterday.
The pair met British-Pakistani business leaders, musicians, chefs, artists and writers at the Muslim education centre in King’s Cross. While there William was quick to point out he is wary of spicy food, ahead of the couple’s visit to Pakistan this month. The pair met the 2017 winner of MasterChef Saliha Mahmood-Ahmed. During a chat about Pakistani food, William said he “loved spice but not heat”, adding: “Me and heat, not so good.”
But the duke still appeared to be looking forward to the cuisine on his trip, saying he will need “a bigger suit” with a bit of expansion.
Kate expressed difficulty in cooking curry as a family. She said: “The children have no spice, yours (the duke’s) is medium and I like it hot.”
The pair also met DJ Naughty Boy and Sarfraz Manzoor, whose memoir inspired the recent film Blinded By The Light. He joked: “They were saying he likes medium spice – I don’t think it exists in Pakistan.”
