Meghan Markle: William and Kate 'strategic' claims expert
Kate Middleton is the wife of Prince William and officially became a member of the Royal Family when they married in 2011. Kate quickly became a popular woman in the royal circle and had an especially close friendship with William’s younger brother, Prince Harry. The two have been spotted laughing and having fun together on multiple occasions, such as at the Heads Together campaign for mental health and at Trooping the Colour.
Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry’s friendship go all the way back to 2003, when she first started dating Prince William.
According to a story by Newsweek, Harry referred to Kate as “the big sister he never had”.
However, the split between Kate and Harry began when the Duke of Sussex accused his brother and sister-in-law of not supporting his incoming bride, Meghan Markle, ahead of their wedding in 2018.
According to Mail on Sunday, Prince Harry started a “showdown” with the two and “read them the riot act” one evening.

The expression "to read the riot act" is a phrase meaning "to reprimand severely", with the added sense of a stern warning.
According to the publication, a source said Meghan maintained a “stony” silence throughout the speech.
However, they added the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge assured Prince Harry they were happy to support Meghan.
Speculation about a feud between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reached new levels earlier this year.

Prince Harry and Meghan announced they would split from the Royal Foundation they shared with the Kate and William.
The foundation was first set up in 2009 by the royal brothers and caused further discussion whether the split was caused by their wives.
Royal expert Juliet Rieden told Nine News Australia: "This is Prince Harry and Prince William going their separate way with their wives – they’re almost setting up two separate courts.
"It did surprise me because back in February 2018 we had that wonderful Fab 4 on stage, doing wonderful things. A whole brave new world for the Royal Family.
"We’d never seen this sort of presentation, it was almost like a brand presentation.
“We’ve never seen that sort of thing before so it felt like this was going to be the way forward.”
However, Meghan and Kate were spotted together earlier this summer at the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
The two appeared to be getting on better and other sources have even claimed the two mothers are exchanging friendly texts discussing how to bring up their children.
