Meghan and Harry’s decision to have Archie baptised away from the public gaze has upset some royal fans.
The royal tot is yet to make his first public appearance and many hoped to get a proper glimpse of him arriving at the church with his parents on Saturday.
However plans to have the service within the inner sanctums of Windsor Castle mean Archie will remain out of sight.
A family portrait on christenings is a royal tradition and pictures from the service will be released following the ceremony.
Following Meghan and Harry’s announcement that Archie will travel with them to South Africa this autumn, it’s believed this could be the first time the little royal is seen out in public.
