MEGHAN MARKLE’S longterm friend Janina Gavankar explained that the Duchess of Sussex would “run a tight ship” when it came to raising royal baby Archie.
Meghan Markle baby: Duchess will be 'strict' says friend
Meghan Markle’s longterm actress friend Janina Gavankar explained that the Duchess would be a very hands-on mother and strict in some cases. Speaking on CBS News’ Royal Special: Meghan and Harry Plus One, the actress insisted Meghan would be “such a good mother” and the pair had been discussing parenthood for over ten years. She began by saying: “Meghan and I have talked to each other about her being a mother for over a decade.
“She is going to be such a good mother.
“I think she’ll be very low maintenance and I think that she will be very hands on.
“The way she would have been if she hadn’t married into the Royal Family.
Ms Gavankar further explained that she didn’t believe Meghan would be a “pushover” regarding parenting either.
“I think Meghan is going to be strict.
“Not in some sort of intense way but I think she is an incredibly practical person.
“I think she is going to run a tight ship.”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, into the world on May 6.
The Duchess of Sussex has not formally announced how long she intends to take off work for her maternity leave and the public has seen very little of her since the birth of Archie.
Princess Diana ‘broke rules’ in motherhood claims expert
UK law states women are entitled to take up to a year off work, although this depends on their employer and maternity pay package.
American-born Meghan might be more inclined to mirror US women who typically take three months of maternity leave.
But the Duchess is known for her rigorous work ethic and carried out her royal duties late into her pregnancy and it has been speculated that Meghan may choose a time period between the two.
