THE QUEEN is expected to dazzle crowds at Lady Gabriella’s wedding this wedding, but what do bookies expect her to wear?
Hidden symbols in the Queen's wedding dress revealed
The Royal Wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston is due to take place on Saturday at midday at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. Punters have been betting on all sorts of odds concerning the upcoming nuptials including what the Queen will wear to her cousin once removed’s wedding. Given her previous royal outfits and the weather, do you agree with the odds?
Bookies predict Queen Elizabeth II will wear either blue or yellow for the Royal Wedding.
Ladbrokes have said that so far 60 percent of the bets placed have been on either blue or yellow as the hat colour choice.
The odds of blue are at 4/1 and yellow at 8/1.
This compares to odds that she will wear a green hat at 4/6, pink at 6/1, cream or ivory at 8/1, purple at 10/1, turquoise at 10/1, white at 16/1, red at 12/1 and orange at 16/1.
The least likely colours expected to be chosen are silver at 20/1, gold at 33/1 and brown at 40/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Royal punters are backing blue once again and after correctly predicting the sex of Will and Kate’s baby, attention now turns to the colour of Her Majesty’s hat on the big day.
Her majesty wore yellow to Kate and Prince William’s wedding in 2011.
She wore a bright green coat with a matching hat with purple feathers for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding last May.
A pastel blue outfit was her choice for her granddaughter Princess Eugenie’s wedding last year.
Meanwhile, bookies predict Meghan and Harry will be unlikely attend Lady Gabriella’s wedding with odds at 1/4.
Jessica Bridge from Ladbrokes said: “Unfortunately for fans it seems unlikely they’ll get to see Meghan and Harry back at Windsor on the eve of their first wedding anniversary.
“We expect to see Kate and Wills there, along with Pippa and James, although Prince William will have to make a quick dash to up to Wembley in time for the FA Cup final in his role as President of the FA.”
Other members of the Royal Family are also expected to turn up for the ceremony, but, it has not been confirmed who will attend.
Lady Gabriella will marry financier Thomas Kingston at St George’s Chapel in an intimate ceremony, with close friends and family expected to attend.
The wedding will be a private affair.
It will not be televised, or include a carriage procession or members of the public invited as guests to the castle grounds.
The wedding will take place just one day before Meghan and Harry’s wedding anniversary, as the Duke and Duchess married on May 19 last year.
