Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to go ‘AGAINST THE NORM’ with royal baby
MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry’s decision not to do a post-birth photo call with their royal baby “goes against the norm” and shows how different they are from Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, a royal photographer said.
Queen 'defied birthing tradition' like Meghan Markle says expert
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are unlikely to present Baby Sussex to the world just hours after birth, a choice which breaks with a tradition started by Princess Diana. The move further outdistances Meghan and Kate, who has stepped out of the premises of the St Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing in London to introduce their three children to the public after their birth. Tim Rooke, a royal photographer for picture agency Shutterstock in 1990, believes this decision is groundbreaking.
He told the Daily Mail: “We now know that Harry and Meghan will not have a traditional post-birth photo call, which definitely goes against the norm.”
But Mr Rooke believes the couple won’t leave their royal fans empty-handed.
He said: “Given that the couple have recently created an Instagram page to document their activities it's more likely that the first image of Baby Sussex will be posted and shared widely to the public via Instagram.”
Harry and Meghan launched their new Instagram account on April 2, after having shared for almost one year kensingtonroyal, the profile now used only by William and Kate.

The Sussexes’ account currently counts 4.8m followers.
The decision to create a new profile on social media came only weeks after Meghan and Harry received the Queen’s approval to create their own household.
Royal expert Victoria Arbiter told Entertainment Tonight she believes Meghan will avoid the spotlight as she will not want to feel "the pressure" of having to look picture-perfect after giving birth.
She said: “She simply doesn’t want the pressure of having to look photo fabulous after she’s just had a baby.
“I think Meghan and Harry are keen to maintain maximum privacy for their child moving forward.
“As we understand right now, the media is going to be allowed on the long walk.
“That was the long stretch where the carriage procession took place during Harry and Meghan’s carriage procession following the wedding.”
Kate is known to have had a team of stylists arriving to the hospital to prepare her post-birth outfit and look.
Mr Rooke has followed all the post-birth photo calls of Kate.
He recalled how “chaotic” had been the hours before Kate walked outside of the hospital with Prince George for the first time.
He said: “It's a very busy time around the birth of a royal baby.
“The first time I covered the birth of a royal baby was after the Duchess of Cambridge delivered Prince George.
“It was quite chaotic and people camped outside of the Lindo Wing for weeks.”
